Grief

Grief can be a complex emotion that impacts all aspects of life. Grief can come from many different forms of loss, not always from death.

At Rebekah Wright Psychotherapy, we offer clients a compassionate and safe space to process whatever form their grief comes in.

We work with you to balance love and loss in a way that allows for growth and connection while you walk on this path.

Depression

Depression can feel all-consuming, and it can be hard to imagine a way out.

We assess from a holistic perspective, understanding the body's nervous system's response and how this impacts daily life.

We work collaboratively with you so that you can experience relief from the weight of your emotions.

Self-Harm & Suicidality

At Rebekah Wright Psychotherapy, we provide a safe space to address and work through difficult emotions.

We recognize that suicidal thoughts and self-harming behaviour can be ways to cope with those emotions. We work with clients to identify these parts and then develop healthier ways to address these needs.

We will develop a safety plan and partner with you on the journey to healing.

Relational Trauma

Relationship trauma can be especially difficult to navigate. It’s often more than just one event but a culminating effect that can be difficult to identify and subsequently address.

We provide you with the support needed to begin healing by working through past relational trauma slowly and safely.

This processing allows for communication, deeper intimacy, and greater self-awareness in current or future relationships.

Disordered Eating Behaviours

We understand that eating disorders can be a complex experience.

Our approach to therapy focuses on addressing the root causes of your disordered eating while balancing conflicting motivations that encourage these patterns to continue.

This is why we provide you with a nonjudgmental environment where you can explore and establish a healthy relationship with food and your body to find balance.

Borderline, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and CPTSD

Faith-Based Perspective

If clients request, we can approach therapy from a faith-based perspective.

We believe in a holistic approach to mental health, taking into account not only the mind but also the body and spirit.

We walk with you along your journey, hearing your story while integrating faith-based values and supports that you choose.

Teens

We offer a safe, non-judgmental environment for teenagers to explore their emotions, thoughts and feelings.

We know that taking the first step can be difficult, which is why we approach each session at the client’s pace.

Parents often notice areas of concern, but we balance that with the concerns of the youth, listening to their perspective.

My Approach

My Approach

Clients often come to therapy with presenting issues such as those

listed above.

However, these are usually symptoms of an underlying pattern that our internal system has adapted to in an attempt to help us.

Unfortunately, without intervention, these patterns can become life-interfering problems.

Attachment-based therapy does not mean solely focusing on your primary caregiver relationship.

But rather, assessing patterns that exist with current romantic relationships, friends,  and even our relationship with ourselves.

In fact, cultivating a positive and nurturing relationship with oneself is essential for overall well-being and happiness.

Underlying Attachment Roots

Presenting Concern

Balancing attachment insight with practical skills can allow for healing.

The perseverance and patience required to travel this journey are well worth it when considering the freedom achieved when healthy internal and external relationships are restored.
